Capitol Forest / DNR Projects

The Capitol Forest is an amazing resource and a beautiful place that contributes to the unique character of the Delphi Area.  The Capitol Forest includes over 90,000 acres of timber, parks and recreation areas, salmon streams and habitat for countless species of wildlife.  The Capitol Forest is part of a Land Trust administered by the DNR for the State of Washington and may periodically have timber sales and land sales that can significantly impact the Delphi Area.  Therefore, is being closely monitored.  If you have questions DNR they can be directed to:

Future Timber Sale Auctions in the Delphi Area

The Department of Natural Resources has now posted auction information for a McLane Timber Sale, to be bid on April 24, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pacific Cascade Region Office in Castle Rock, WA.  This land is part of the McLane Creek Nature Trail and Demonstration Forest.  The posting for the auction can be viewed at the link below:
